Training SHIs is not limited to teaching
them a process or a skill. It also involves engaging their
environment, that comprises of supervisors and other co-workers
too, and sensitisation of HR as well. Our three pronged approach
for training.
For Candidates:
Classroom Training – Classroom
based training on theory, concepts, and what is.
Practical Training – On the job
training showcasing equipment, software and physical areas of
work
Shadow Training – Attach
one-to-one shadow to impart visual experience and training of
the work profile
Assessment – Post training
assessment of suitability of deployment on a live job
For Supervisors:
Basic Adaptive Indian Sign Language
(ISL) –Simple concepts and gestures of ISL sufficient to
have a work conversation with the SHIs. Rest will be learnt with
usage and interaction with SHIs
Sensitisation Training –
Engagement of supervisors and other relevant colleagues into the
world of SHIs, theirs behaviour patterns and dealing with people
management issues
For HR Team:
Sensitisation Training –

And it doesn’t end there. Once a
deployment is completed, handholding to monitor and enhance
performance and productivity, and counselling sessions continue,
including reskilling where necessary.
